Ethiopia has deported on Wednesday the sister of Mr. Andargachew Tsige who was recently extradited by Yemen to Ethiopia, sources told ESAT.

The sister of Mr. Andargachew, Bizuayehu Tsige, is confirmed to have arrived early on Thursday to the USA.

Bizuayehu, according to ESAT sources, has been told on Wednesday by Ethiopian security agents to leave the country within 24 hours. She was in the country to follow her brother’s case.

Bizuayehu has been in Ethiopia for the past ten days.

It is not yet clear where Andargachew Tsige is being detained since his extradition by the Yemeni security forces. Many international human rights organizations says the move violates ‘International Laws”.

It is recalled that the UK Foreign Office has been accused of failing to act to prevent the extradition of Mr. Andargachew to Ethiopia, who was sentenced to death in absentia.

Andargachew Tsige, a British national, is secretary general of Ethiopian opposition movement, Ginbot 7.

Mr.Andargachew was arrested at Sana’a airport on 23 June 2014 by the Yemeni security services while in transit.(ESAT)
